Laughter is medicine, and joy is the cure. In a world where opera seems synonymous with tragedy, it’s time to challenge expectations. I’m bringing my opera training and directing experience, along with my physical dance and combat expertise, to help new artists hone their funny bones and master comedic timing. Comedy reminds us that catharsis can come not just through tears, but through delight.

If you cannot find joy somewhere in the work you are doing, what is the point? As a part of the Light Opera Lab, I combine my love of great music, my passion for bringing new artistic works into the world, and my desire to find joy in everything that I do. I feel truly honored to be a part of this project and to be creating a space for composers and musicians to hone their skills as comedic artists. I am excited to help bring more joy into the world of opera.
